​On October 5th, Sonora Collective presented their 2023-2024 Season Opener concert at Hashimoto Contemporary in the Lower East Side. The program included works inspired by concepts of Minimalism and Themes on a Variation, and featured music by all female composers: Jessie Montgomery, Missy Mazzoli, Caroline Shaw, Amy Beach, and Katherine Hoover. With Brooklyn-based artist Scott Albrecht’s exhibition The Shadow of The Sun as the backdrop, audience members enjoyed an immersive evening of music and art.
